O L A D A P O   O D U M E R U  MBE

 

Oladapo (Dapo) Odumeru was born in London, United Kingdom. He grew up in Lagos Nigeria, where he attended Surulere Baptist School. He studied at Igbobi College Yaba for 2 years before leaving Lagos for the shores of Ireland at the age of 14 to continue his education. He graduated from University of Galway with a degree in Microbiology. He has a PhD Degree in Pharmacology from University College Dublin.

 

Dapo is a dedicated professional and advocate in the field of healthcare and humanitarian causes. Known for his commitment to saving lives and impacting communities, he is the driving force behind the Blood for Life (2010) and Conor Mac Foundation (2023)

 

 He was awarded an MBE by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to Blood and Organ donation (2016).  He received the alumni award for Medicine, Nursing and Health Science from University of Galway Ireland (2023). 

 

He is passionate about the arts; he is an actor and has worked on several stage drama and film productions.  He is also a public speaker and use his story telling ability and experience to inspire the next generation.

 

He is married to Tomi, and are blessed with three wonderful boys
