As a child I played board games such as Ludo and Monopoly with my family and this activity brought us together. There is no doubt that the computer age has resulted to a reduction in family time .
Research has shown that children learn quicker when there is an element of fun and challenge. The word game certainly provides fun and challenge. The game can be played by adults and children simultaneously. This means that the whole family can play the word, thus bringing the needed togetherness between parents and children.
Playing the game gives parents the opportunity to explain bible stories to their children. The Word also teaches children life skills such as negotiation and interaction.
The game is currently at the prototype phase. I am in the process of moving to the production phase. The Word acts as an evangelism tool and there is scope for the questions to be translated to different languages.
